Castleford started life in January 2011 with two people working from a serviced office in Sydney’s CBD.
Back then we were selling keyword-focussed industry news stories to boost our clients’ SEO campaigns, but a lot has changed since those days. Content marketing has gone from an experimental niche to the marketing mainstream – and we’ve grown from a couple of employees to more than 70.
Our success has been driven by an ability to keep evolving. We’re constantly rolling out new products and adjusting or retiring old ones as the needs of our clients shift.
Our founders also have huge experience in the content marketing space, though we’ve worked hard to keep a startup mentality. With content marketing shaped by huge and fast-moving companies like Google and Facebook we know we can never sit still to survive. Nothing is ever finished, everything can be improved and we’ll never be afraid to try something new.

Why did we choose these images to represent us? Because it takes courage, purpose and focus to do what we do – and we see those qualities in these animals.
The lion is our symbol of confidence: the boldness and strength of Castleford.
The hummingbird is about precision and the agility of technology, while the eagle is our surety – the perfect blend of vision and action. The wolf represents teamwork: we take on new territory without fear, confident that we’re unbeatable when we work together. And the horse of course is our work ethic and the warmth that we bring to it.
Each creature is the master of its domain; each stands for a part of content marketing at which we excel. At Castleford we strategise; we create – and then we amplify. That’s our purpose. That’s the Castleford way.
