Memes, music and the markets – James’ interests are as diverse as his talents. Known at Castleford as our most experienced property and financial markets writer, James now wears a second hat as our Business Improvement Manager. In this role, he oversaw our seamless transition to an Agile-based production system, and takes point on the many continuous improvements that are part of Castleford’s commitment to innovation.
In a former life, James was a freelance pop-culture writer for New Zealand outlets The Wireless and The Spinoff – and he still DJs the odd set around Auckland. Prior to joining Castleford he was a Broadcast Analyst for ISentia, a role that included preparing daily press briefings for the office of the Australian Prime Minister.
Things we didn’t know about James before we wrote this profile: he loves music by Kelela, has a fascination for Google algorithms, and is one-quarter Fijian.
