ad:tech Melbourne in review
The Castleford Media team is back from our trip to Melbourne, where we've spent the past few days networking at the ad:tech 2011 conference.
This is our second visit to an ad:tech event this year. We had a booth and gave a presentation at the Sydney conference earlier this month and while the Melbourne crowd was considerably quieter, we had a couple of really interesting, productive days at the Hilton on the Park.
Highlights for us were presentations by Bonin Bough, global director of digital and social media at PepsiCo, as well as the fascinating insights offered by Tate's digital communications manager Jesse Ringham yesterday during the Leveraging Social Media in a Trans-Media Environment morning keynote.
Castleford's own head of sales and marketing, Gabriel Villablanca took to the stage yesterday afternoon alongside RedLever managing director Sam Smith and Guy Gadney, director of The Project Factory to discuss strategies for generating quality content.
If you caught Gabriel's presentation and want to hear more or see a PDF of his notes, please get in touch with the Castleford team (send us a tweet!) and we'll be happy to email you a copy.
While the Australian ad:tech events are finished now, you'll still have a chance to meet the Castleford Media team and chat about our custom news content at SMX Sydney, which is set to take place on April 14 and 15.
We've been asked to put together a presentation on Content Creation for Search for the first day of SMX. It looks like we'll have some great info to share – stay tuned to the blog in the coming weeks for more details.
