Helpful new tool for businesses: Pinterest Web Analytics

If your company has Pinterest incorporated in its content marketing strategy, then we’ve got some good news for you that could help to measure what content is popular with pinners!

The Pinterest team have announced Pinterest Web Analytics which allows you to see what people are pinning from your website.

This is super helpful information, as this can help you to change up your content strategy and tailor your posts to include content that your audience finds most interesting or share-worthy.

Pinterest software engineer Tao Tao noted that if you have a verified website, you’ll be able to get information on the number of people who have pinned from your site, how many people have seen these pins and how many people visited your site from Pinterest.

You’ll also have a “better idea of what’s popular” with Pinterest able to display a selection of your most repinned, most clicked and most recent pins.

“For example, if you have a travel blog, you’ll be able to see whether people are pinning your ski vacation posts or beach vacation posts more,” Tao posted in the Pinterest blog on March 12.

It’s easy to get started using Pinterest Web Analytics, firstly, get early access to Pinterest’s new look.

You then need to make sure you have a verified website (have a check mark next to your profile), if you don’t follow these steps.

Once you’re verified, go to the top right menu and click on Analytics – then you’re ready to go!

You can change your date range to see how stats have changed over time or you can choose to download the analytics to sort through the data.

Pinterest Web Analytics joins a host of other tools that the sharing platform is providing for website owners including Pin It buttons and business accounts – so get in with the new updates to drive your business online!
