Super-niche content, office grazing and Meatloaf – Q&A with Content Writer Tegan Wooding
With their Associate Content Editor (ACE) Zak Wash away visiting the US, it’s been an especially busy month for our Business & Technology Desk.
Thankfully Content Writer Tegan Wooding was able to spare a few minutes to take part in this week’s Q&A where she shared her tips on niche content, grazing at work and Meatloaf.
Business & Technology has taken on some new clients this month. What are you working on right now?
I’ve been working on some content about executive assistants. Today I’ve writing some tips and advice style articles on how using an executive assistant can save you time and generally make your life easier by screening sales calls (don’t tell our BDMs), preparing meeting agendas and organising your schedule.
How is the team coping without its ACE?
With Zak away and John (Senior Content Writer) taking over the reins temporarily, our team became a little smaller but certainly not any less efficient. John is a great leader and manages to keep our group feeling important and on top of what we need to get done. Also, he gives us chocolate – so we’ve got that going for us.
We work with clients from a broad range of industries. What’s the most unusual subject you’ve had to write about?
The most unusual subject I’ve personally covered would probably be for a super niche construction business. The company is highly specialised so I can’t say too much about what we were doing for them, but it really stretched my creative muscles finding new angles on such a narrow topic.
What do you like most about working at Castleford?
Is it too clichéd to say the people? I’ve been incredibly fortunate to land such a rewarding opportunity, where I can write away to my heart’s content, but also to work with such an amazing team.
What have you been most proud of since you joined the company?
Receiving positive feedback from clients is always great, but just recently I got some from a brand new client I’d been working on. It’s a great feeling when you prove to a new client that we can meet and exceed their expectations.
What can usually be found on your desk?
Food!! You’ll typically see me reaching into a bag of nuts or chowing down on some fruit throughout the entire day. I’m a grazer, so I always need some form of food close at hand.
What are you reading at the moment?
I’m currently reading the Song of Fire and Ice series for a second time, refreshing my memory to keep ahead of the latest season of Game of Thrones.
