Which social site is best for reaching teens? [VIDEO]
Social media marketing is a great way to appeal to consumers, young and old, but which platform is best for drawing in the younger crowds?
Facebook is by far the largest and definitely one of the easiest sites to use, but with multiple studies indicating teenagers are leaving the site, many marketers are uncertain of its capabilities.
While it may not be their favourite social site anymore, 71 per cent of teenagers aged between 13 and 17 are still on Facebook, according to a recent study by Pew Research.
Instagram is a steady favourite, the study found 52 per cent of teenagers saying they are active on the app, and newcomer Snapchat has nabbed up 41 per cent of the market.
Google and Twitter are still in the running, with 33 per cent of teens using each site.
However, most teenagers are active on multiple social sites. The study revealed 71 percent of respondents are active on more than one social platform.
